Ajuga

Botanical Name: Ajuga reptans

Ajuga is a wonderful ground cover for partial shade to shady areas. Its evergreen foliage forms a dense, compact mat that remains attractive even when not in bloom.

Blue-violet flowers form in spring on 4 to 6 in. spikes creating a contrasting display. Leaf color varies by variety and hybrid. Ajuga spreads by stolons and will quickly fill in a garden bed.
